Improving the Planet
from the Ground Up

Healthy soil is the foundation of all life on our planet, yet it faces unprecedented threats. Soil erosion, acidification, contamination, loss of organic matter, compaction, and salinization are rapidly diminishing its vitality.
According to the United Nations, soil degradation affects approximately one-third of global land, and if current trends continue, over 90% of the Earth's soils could degrade by 2050, jeopardizing food security, biodiversity, and climate stability.
At KK Leaf, we believe the solution lies beneath our feet—in the unseen world of soil microorganisms. Our mission is to restore soil health by nurturing these beneficial microorganisms, creating sustainable, resilient agricultural ecosystems.

The Power of our Soil

Peony Garden Tokyo

Since 1989, our 100% organic garden has delighted guests with tree peonies (botan) and stem peonies (shakuyaku)—both flourishing under our unique composting and enzyme farming methods.

Thoroughbred Compost Ecosystem Project

Since thoroughbreds use very little medicine in preparation for doping tests, the manure is considered to be high-quality organic matter, and a plan was put forward to turn it into branded compost and link it to the creation of local branded agricultural products.

In 2019, the compost was commercialized, sales began at home improvement centers, the number of compost houses was increased, and results and component analysis were also conducted.

For horse ranches, this solves the problem of horse manure disposal, and for farmers, it solves the problem of soil improvement and the creation of unique agricultural products.
